01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
Arlo had his best outing to date at the UAAAPS Event with Baseball Factory, and now stands at 6'7/220 lbs. The big right handed cold weather arm (NY), topped out at 82 mph with his cut fastball, spun a 10/4 CB with sharp action from 69-71, and showed a CH with sink from 75-76. He commanded his stuff very well with his loose arm action and controlled delivery. He started with balance gathering over the rubber and separated on-time giving way to the delivery and a controlled finish - with his chest out over his front knee. With his frame, his ability to work down in the zone, and his over-the-top arm slot, Arlo is very deceptive and difficult to hit. All in all - Arlo is the epitome of continued work ethic and passion for the game, and his ceiling grows higher and higher from event to event.
10/19/2016 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic
Arlo is a talented RHP/1B who has a very tall frame and skill on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Arlo has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. He stays in line and has the proper, controlled stride length as he extends smoothly through his release. Arlo is consistent and repeatable in his mechanics. His fastball has good movement at 78-79 MPH and he commands his curveball at 60-64 MPH. Arlo also throws a developing change with gradual tail. In the field, Arlo plays with effective footwork taking the correct angles to field the ball squarely. He has a firm glove and clean exchange leading into a loose arm action from a high 3/4 slot. He plays with momentum towards his target and his throws are consistent with carry. Offensively, Arlo has a square setup with a firm front side. He has a long stride with a load that can benefit from better rhythm. Arlo effectively obtains extension at contact. He does a nice job engaging his hips and shows strong pop on the balls to the pull side. Arlo is a projectable prospect who has high upside as he continues to develop his overall game.

Arlo is a RHP/1B with a projectable frame (6'6", 220lbs). On the mound, Arlo has very deceptive delivery to go along with a three pix mix. His fastball sits from 81-83mph which he throws consistently for strikes. His breaking ball sits from 65-66mph with an 11-5 break. He throws his changeup with fastball arm speed and it ranges from 68-71mph. Arlo can improve as a pitcher by using his height by staying tall through his delivery and incorporating a long toss program. In the field, Arlo shows efficient feet and good body control at 1B. He possess sure hands which he presents on time to field the ball. His throws are on-line and he gives good feeds to the pitcher covering the bag. Arlo can improve his defensive skills by working on his quickness and agility. At the plate, Arlo shows good pop from the right side of the plate. He has a wide base which gives him good balance in the box. He is a gap to gap hitter who flashes some power. He can improve his hitting abilities by keeping his hands inside the ball during his swing. Overall, Arlo is a solid player and with two more years to develop he has the potential to contribute at the next level.
06/25/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2
Arlo is an athletic/projectable RHP/1B who showed well during his time at the Omaha National World Series. On the mound, this RHP works to a tall balance point, has smooth separation and drives downhill toward the plate. FB cracks the mitt at 79 while showing good arm-side run with heavy action. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape and is thrown for strikes consistently. Changeup has good sink and will get a lot of GB outs. He varies his looks and holds runners well. At 1B - he has athletic actions and hustles into a square fielding position. He makes the plays with soft hands and gathers well. As a hitter - this righty shows a balanced setup with rhythm to load. Hands are quick whipping the barrel through a level path as he connects with pop, driving the ball on a line. Arlo is very coachable and is a great teammate. He will make an impact in a variety of ways.
02/13/2016 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 14-18)
Arlo showed some quality actions at the plate at the Accelerated Training Weekend and is developing additional skills that will benefit him as a hitter. The stride is square while the hands are activated properly into a solid launch position with correct timing to the set up. Staying tall and utilizing the natural leverage that Arlo has will benefit him as he does show pull-side pop and will be able to drive balls more consistently with a more direct path to the baseball and extending through contact with the barrel on plane. This 2018 grad has shown dedication to his game and through continued hard work will be able to take his game to new heights.
09/30/2015 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic
Arlo continues to show solid abilities on the mound. On the bump, he shows a sound / repeatable delivery, working in line and on time allowing his arm to work loose / free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 71-75 mph on a downhill plane and has quality off speed stuff that will get outs at the next level. He attacks hitters as he throws strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well with plus deception. At the event, he has a quality outing, throwing 4 innings with no runs or BB. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength.
06/29/2015 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY
Arlo is a RHP who has a tall/projectable build (6'4"/200). On the bump, this righty has an effective 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot and loose arm action. He keeps his eyes on the target, gets good glove side lead and works in-line toward the dish. FB ranges from 73-78 mph as he fills up the zone with strikes. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with tight spin, 61-63 mph. Changeup has slight sink as he throws it with FB arm speed. He has sound mechanics and repeats his delivery well. Added velocity will come with more lower 1/2 drive off of the rubber. With the bat, this righty shows a square setup with good rhythm to load. Swing is level as he connects and hits line-drives. Letting the ball travel deeper into the zone will allow him to use the whole field. Only a 2018 grad - Arlo has a ton of upside and will be one to keep an eye on in the upcoming years.
