01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Arman is a skilled and athletic 2-way player who continues to progress every time that we see him. Behind the dish, he sits in low with athletic actions and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He is quick laterally and centers pitches in the dirt off of his chest, keeping the ball in front. Transfer/exchange is quick and throws down to 2B are on the bag with pop times now at 2.09. At the plate, this RHH has an athletic setup with high hands. He gets his stride foot down on time, swings on a level path and squares the ball up with pop to his pull side. On the mound, Arman throws a FB and CB from a quick arm action. He works to a controlled balance point, keeps his shoulders square and stays directional toward the dish. FB now tops out at 78 mph as he works it to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with good action. Arman possesses the tools that will make an impact in a variety of ways on the diamond.

08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Arman is a coachable C/RHP prospect who continued to work hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. Behind the plate, Arman shows quick footwork and is very agile moving to block balls in the dirt. He sits in an athletic stance and works to track the ball into his glove. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Arman can improve defensively by making his exchange closer to his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and maintains center balance. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed which leads to square contact and line drives. Arman can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Arman works fast as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He stays inline towards the plate and finishes square to his target. Arman shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph. Breaking ball sits from 65-66mph with 12-6 break. Arman can improve as a pitcher by extending through on his release. Overall, Arman is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

06/23/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Arman is strong and athletic 2019 2-way prospect. Behind the dish, Arman has flexible hips and blocks the ball well. He works under the ball and consistently sticks the low pitch when receiving. Continuing to work on transferring the ball in front of his body and creating movement to the ball will allow him to be more efficient throwing the ball to second base. At the plate, Arman start in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He hits off a firm front side and is aggressive in fastball counts. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and keeping his head down through contract will prevent him from pulling off the ball. On the bump, Arman gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his release point. He works fast and challenges hitters on both sides of the plate. Arman will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/28/2018 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Arman is a long, lean (6', 185) two-way player who gets it done as either half of the battery. He is a wall behind the plate, sliding to block everything and keep it close. He works in line to the pitcher with a good chest angle to deaden everything to center. His hands are sure and he tracks the ball well to receive pitches in the zone. At the plate, he uses his strong frame well to generate bat speed and power with strong hands through the zone. He works on a direct path to the ball and makes consistent, square contact to use all fields. On the bump, he has a direct over the top arm slot, extending through his release to get close to the batter and create deception. His repertoire includes a fastball in the mid 70's, a late breaking 12-6 curveball and a changeup with sink. Working on creating a downward plane to the plate will result in weak contact off the bats of his opponents. Arman is an intriguing prospect we look forward to watching further.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
