01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Will is a talented 2-way prospect who continues to impress every time we see him. This athletic MIF has a ton of speed - running a 60 yard dash in a blazing 6.81. This speed shows in his defensive actions as well as on the base paths. Defensively, he has active prep and works fluidly right to left through the GB. Hands are presented out in front and soft as he funnels smoothly. Transfer is quick with zip & accuracy on his throws. With the bat, this righty maintains a tall/balanced setup with active hands to load. Swing is short/compact to and through the zone as he connects and barrels the ball up with some pop (exit velo = 82 mph). He battled in game AB's and puts the barrel on the ball consistently, proving to be a tough out. On the mound, this RHP pounds the zone with strikes and repeats his delivery well. FB tops out at 75 mph as he can hit his spots. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with some tight spin. He attacks hitters and give his defense a chance. Will is a versatile athlete who can make things happen in a multitude of ways on the diamond.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Will is an athletic and talented 2-way prospect. At SS, Will is on time with his prep step, presents a low/early glove, and has a good first step to the ball. He creates good angles to the ball and has range to both sides of the glove. He has a clean exchange, good footwork, and can throw from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Will starts in a squared stance, has a simple load, and gets to balance at contact. He keeps the barrel on plane, attacks the inside part of the ball, and rotates his core to the ball. He is a line drive hitter and makes consistent contact through the middle part of the field. On the bump, Will gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and keeps his eyes on his target. He throws his fastball for strikes and has a tight spin on his curveball. He'll continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Will is a 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Will has quick/active feet, agile movements to the ball, and he fields low in a square position. He has soft/presentable hands, a quick/clean exchange, and throws with accuracy and consistency across the diamond. On the mound, Will has good balance and a clean arm circle. He separates his hands on time, works well to his balance point, and he competes in the zone. Offensively, Will has a tall/square set-up, loads well, and stands in well balanced. He has a fast/direct barrel, and makes hard/consistent contact. Solid overall skills can further improve with work on the following.

08/12/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Will is a young 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Will has active feet, fields the ball aggressively, and he fields in a square/athletic position. He gathers himself well, has a clean exchange, and he throws with accuracy and momentum from a short arm action. On the mound, Will has a quick/clean arm action, works in good tempo, and keeps well balanced throughout. He has good direction toward home, a controlled landing, and competes in the zone. Offensively, Will has a square set-up, good balance, and swings aggressively. He makes level/consistent contact and uses some lower body. Will can improve skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
