02/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Parker , CO Artie continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.15 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays fluid / smooth actions. Feet are active as he moves well laterally and plays with a ton of energy. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by working to get rid of the ball quicker. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight front the backside into a firm front side.

10/03/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lakewood, CO Artie is a SS who will graduate in 2022. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. In the infield, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and has active feet. He takes aggressive angles towards baseball with the ability to make routine plays. He fields from a square fielding position, with his eyes behind his glove, and creates momentum through the baseball. He showed ability to throw from multiple arm slots, with good carry, and an arm velocity up to 78mph across diamond. Good touch on his flip and follows. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Hits into a firm front side, with intent in swing, and ability use whole field. Gets good extension out front as he hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph during his round of BP. With another year of development, Artie should have a bright future on the baseball diamond.

08/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Artie is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Artie shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Playing through the ball more can help Artie improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact to all fields. Artie can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. Overall, Artie is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
