11/15/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Atreyu is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. In the field, Atreyu shows active footwork and flashes good range to his backhand side. He fields in an athletic position and makes accurate, on-line throws to his target. Atreyu can improve defensively by fielding the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and works to barrel up the baseball, making solid contact. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Atruye improve as a hitter. On the mound, Atreyu gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He takes a proper stride to the plate and keeps his pitches around the zone. Atreyu shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 52mph. Changeup sits from 46-48mph. Atreyu can improve as a pitcher by loosening his arm action. With six more years to develop, Atreyu has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/23/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Atreyu is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Atreyu has good pre-pitch actions, he takes good angles to the ball, and he gives good effort. He makes plays consistently, has a clean exchange, and throws with a long arm action with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Atreyu stands over the rubber well balanced, he separates on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. Offensively, Atreyu has a tall set-up, a middle of the field approach, and he tracks the ball well. He has some bat speed, makes contact, and uses some lower body. Atreyu can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Play lower to high
2. Release
3. Fielding position
Pitching
1. Landing
2. Finish
3. Arm action
Offense

2. Rhythm
3. Barrel accuracy

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
