09/15/2019 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Augustus is a strong OF prospect who will graduate in 2020. In the field, Augustus shows fluid footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with decent bat speed, leading to loud contact and solid line drives. Overall, Augustus is a talented prospect who should find success going into his senior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
