07/31/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Ayden is a coachable 3B/C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Ayden makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Ayden improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a centered stride. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and takes a short swing, leading to consistent contact. Ayden can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. Overall, Ayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

02/23/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Sioux Falls, SD Ayden is a lean 3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 3B, Ayden shows active footwork and flashes good range to his glove side. He fields in an athletic position and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Fielding the ball out in front of his body can help Ayden improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and takes a level swing. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact and gap to gap pop. Ayden can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. With two more years to develop, Ayden has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

02/25/2018 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Ayden is an athletic C/3B prospect who will graduate in 2021. Behind the plate, Ayden shows efficient footwork when moving to block balls in the dirt. He throws with a quick arm action and works to keep his throws accurate to 2B. Ayden can improve as a C by setting up in a more athletic stance. At 3B, Ayden shows fluid footwork and is very agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic fielding position and makes the routine play. He has a quick, clean exchange with a quick release on his throws and keeps them on-line to his target. Ayden can improve as a 3B by fielding the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent line drives. Ayden can improve as a hitter by letting the ball travel deeper into the hitting zone. With three more years to develop, Ayden has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
