08/03/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Council Bluffs (Omaha, NE), IA Bailey is an average sized 2nd baseman with a strong lower 1/2. In the INF, Bailey has playable hands and feet, and his glove angle to the ball is solid. He keeps the ball in front, squares his body properly to throw, and he delivers the ball to his target from a short / loose arm action. Offensively, Bailey has a tall set-up, good balance, and he lets the ball travel well. He hits strikes, makes consistent contact, and he drives the ball to the opposite field well. Bailey can improve by working on the following.

Defense
1. Soften glove
2. Quicken footwork
3. Long toss
Offense
1. Loosen grip
2. Finish swing
3. More lower 1/2

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
