06/17/2016 - USA Baseball 17U Championships Bailey is a skilled corner INF who showed well during his time at the USA Baseball 17U Championships. At 3B - he has active pre-pitch and is quick to move right and left. He presents a soft mitt out in front, gathers well and zips strong/accurate throws across the diamond. He has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots allowing him to make the throw on the run with ease. Behind the dish, he sits in well and tracks pitches into a soft/sure mitt. He works hard laterally to body up pitches in the dirt. Throws are on the bag as he gains ground and fires from a short/quick arm - pop times of 2.13. Bailey does a good job of reading hitters tendencies and helping his pitchers to make the necessary adjustments. As a hitter - Bailey has centered balance with rhythm in his hands. He has good zone awareness drawing 3 walks at the event. Swing is level/repeatable as he connects and drives the middle of the field. Swinging against a more firm front side will allow him to engage his full lower 1/2 - resulting in increased pop. On the mound, Bailey has a compact/repeatable delivery. Arm is quick as the FB is somewhat deceptive to hitters - cracking the mitt at 81 mph. Link is a solid prospect who will make an impact as he approaches his senior year.
