06/05/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Bailey showed on the mound at the event and continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. Delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 86-89 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break and shows as an outstanding pitch that will get outs. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches, locating to both sides of the plate. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to loud contact to all fields. Overall, Bailey has upside on the mound and will get looks from pro scouts with his abilities.

09/15/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Bailey is an athletic OF prospect who showed well at the Futures East showcase. In the field, Bailey shows efficient footwork and centers the ball in the middle of his body. He gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good carry through his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He maintains center balance as he drives his lower half through. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent pop to his pull side. Overall, Bailey is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

01/22/2017 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Bailey is a tall, lanky OF and is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has rhythm, loading well as he attacks the ball. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. In the OF, he displays smooth/athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes/angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through well. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by following through well in line with his body. With 3 years to further develop, Bailey has a ton of potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
