06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Beau is a 6’1/170 LHP/OF in the 2023 class. In the field, he run well (6.87 60 yd) and can cover ground. His feet work well to get behind the baseball and plays through effectively. Gets solid reads with a very effective 1st step. On the mound, he has a repeatable delivery and pitches to contact. Can work the baseball to glove and arm side with movement. Maintains composure and poise on the hill and is solid at controlling the run game. Operates with a 3-pitch mix from a low ¾ slot. His FB topped at 74 (generally sits 78 / battled some arm soreness at camp) with sink. His CB sat 66-7 with depth and 2/8 shape. His CH sat 68 with FB arm speed and lowed low in the zone. At the plate, he has advanced barrel awareness and stays connected well. Lower half works with his swing and generates line drive production in the gaps. His hands are loose and comfortable and stays in the zone. Overall, he has the foundation of a solid two-way player at the next level.

03/06/2022 - All-In Membership - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Beau is an exceptionally talented LHP/OF in the 2023 class. He recently put himself on the recruiting map with his impressive performance recently in Kannapolis, NC. His 6’1/170 projectable athletic frame moves well on the field and displays tremendous agility and balance. In the field, he has active feet and aggressive closing speed. His mobility allows him to play all 3 spots. He fields in a low athletic fielding position and can redirect the baseball back to the dirt clean and quickly. Displays arm strength (83 velo) and is accurate to his targets. Working to get on top of the baseball will create more of a downward trajectory on his flight path. At the plate, he is an aggressive LH and swings with great intent. He is square to the plate and pushes through the ground on his backside. Has quality hand separation and stays centered. Maintains a quiet head for above average pitch recognition. His hands are fast (88 exit velo) and on plane with the pitch. Produces gap-to gap production with room for big time power. On the mound, proves to be a valuable strike thrower. Has balanced mechanics and stays in-line to his target. Locates the FB and CB well and his CH has outstanding deception. Beau will attract attention from college recruiters as he embarks on a big HS season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
