01/13/2023 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (HS) Ben Krasno is a 2025 C/2B prospect. Behind the dish he exhibits a good arm and strong footwork. His low pop time was 2.25s. Exchange is quick and his body creates momentum towards his target. At times he is slow to block, but with more reps this should improve. He does a good job of tucking his chin on balls in the dirt. At the plate, he has a good rhythm and a loose, fluid swing. Lower half is a little behind and his swing can drag a bit, but he has good feel for the barrel and goes with the pitch to put balls in play. He can spray line drives to all fields. Love his bulldog mentality.

03/20/2022 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Ben is a C prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with some strength present and plenty of room to add strength throughout. Behind the dish, showed an easy sit and tracks ball to mitt. Sets up in a square primary position, with an easy sway, working his thumb under and keeping balls in the zone. Creates good blocking angles and tucks his chin. He gains ground to second base, with clean transfers, and creates momentum to his target. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a short arm stroke, and an arm velocity up to 68mph with a best pop time of 2.25 seconds. A right-handed hitter, hits from an athletic and even stance. He activates his hands, with an on-time glide step, and keeps his weight between his knees. Showed good barrel control as he squared up baseballs into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 63mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see Ben making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
