01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Benjamin is a team player who plays 3B/C in the class of 2027 out of Suisun City, CA. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he used a slightly open stance with a quiet load to keep his head and eyes still to find the barrel consistently. His path was direct to the ball. Benjamin continue to get better each time we see him and we are excited to see what his future has in store on the ball field.

07/17/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (MS) Benjaman is a C/3B prospect who showcased his skills during the World Series at Pirate City. Behind the dish, Benjaman tracks the ball into his glove and makes accurate/on-line throws to the 2B bag. Sitting in a more athletic stance can help Benjaman improve his overall catching ability. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half, producing solid line drives. Benjaman can create more consistent contact by working through a shorter swing path. With six more years to develop, Benjaman has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Benjaman is a lean 3B who will graduate in 2026. At 3B, feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 5 years to further develop, Benjaman has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
