07/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Benjamin is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. In the OF, Benjamin has efficient footwork, a low approach to the ball, and his hands are firm. He works behind the ball, makes plays, and gathers himself properly; throwing with accuracy and momentum toward his cut off man. On the mound, this RHP has a clean arm circle, he separates his hands on time, and he shows good glove side pull. Offensively, Benjamin has a square set-up, a short stride, and he swings aggressively. He has a good bat angle, makes consistent contact, and he uses his lower body. Benjamin can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
