10/07/2020 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic When this 2021 grad shows up to the field, he is ready to go. He's engaged in all parts of the game from getting prepared before the first pitch to delivering when it counts. He shows quickness for his size displaying plus range at first base and vacuuming up all throws from across the diamond. He went 2 for 7 with 2 BB's during game play against top flight pitching. When he barrels up the baseball, it travels. His exit velocity off of the tee comes in consistently in the mid-to-upper 90mph range. With his dedication to the game mixed with his team-first mentality, Singler is going to make a college program happy.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Benjamin continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (99 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop.

07/20/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Benjamin is a strong RHH 1B who has power at the plate. Offensively, he stands in well with an open setup and centered balance. He has fluid rhythm to load, fires the barrel with + bat speed and connects and pop creating consistent/hard contact. At 1B, he has active pre-pitch footwork and is ready to move right and left. He tracks GBs into a soft mitt and gathers well. Footwork around the 1B bag is solid as he can adjust to throws up and down the line. Singler is a solid 1B prospect who should find success in this his senior year.

11/09/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Fremont (San Jose), CA Benjamin is a strong 1B prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Benjamin shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and gets into his load well. He drives through with his lower half and produces explosive bat speed, leading to loud contact and pop to his pull side. Overall, Benjamin is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
