09/09/2018 - Interactive Video Program - La Verne (Los Angeles), CA Benjamin is a thin, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Benjamin centers the ball well, his hands and feet are playable, and he fields from a solid base. He works the double play well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short arm action to his target. On the mound, Benjamin has a FB touching 53 MPH, he separates on time, and lands with good direction toward home plate. At the plate, Benjamin has a square/athletic set-up, he loads well, and tracks to contact. He stands in with some balance, puts the bat on the ball, and he uses some lower body. Benjamin can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Range
2. Release
3. Accuracy
Pitching
1. Arm strength
2. Release
3. Finish

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
