06/20/2009 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 2
Benny continues to show steady improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.20 runner. He continues to show solid average defensive abilities as he displayed a soft, sure glove action in making all the plays. At the plate, Vo showed an aggressive approach with a solid feel for the barrel. He was 3 for 7 with 3 1B at the event. On the mound, fastball was 71-76 with arm side run. Stock on the mound will rise as more overall arm strength is developed through a strict long toss program. Benny has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Benny comes to the diamond as a good high school athlete. On the mound he shows deception in his low ' arm slot delivery, his ability to hide the ball from hitters, he has a tight spin on his curve ball, and showcases a better than average change for his best pitch. At SS Ben is light on his feet, has good lateral range to get to more balls, and displays accurate throws. Vo would make himself a better IF by not dropping and pushing throw, by getting around the ball more, playing through the baseball, and softening up hands to allow for more consistency in fielding. At the plate he stays inside and uses all fields. This young man could improve even more in hitting by widening his stance, keeping hands up, using more top hand for power, and generating more bat speed to drive the ball with more authority.
