12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14)
Billy is a hard working OF prospect that loves to be on the field. In the OF, Billy is on time with his prep step, he works behind the ball, and fields the ball in an athletic position. He attacks the ball and has proper footwork when throwing. Continuing to improve foot speed and arm strength will elevate his game to the next level. At the plate, Billy starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back, and makes consistent contact to all fields. He needs to continue to attacks the inside part of the ball and rotate his backside. On the bases he makes aggressive decisions and is always looking to advance 90 feet. Billy was eager to learn and we hope to see him continue his progress.

Billy is a tall/thin, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Billy has quick/fluid footwork to the ball, he has soft hands, and fields athletically. He has an aggressive approach, works behind quickly, and has a clean exchange with a quick release to his cut off man. At SS, Billy has active footwork to the ball, hands are firm, and he makes plays with a consistent arm across the diamond. At the plate, Billy has a square set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He has an aggressive/level swing, good barrel accuracy, and he makes hard/consistent contact. Very good skills for his age can get even better with work on the following.

Billy is a young SS with a thin frame. Defensively, Billy has playable footwork, he moves well laterally, and hustles well to the ball. He keeps the ball in front, makes plays, and throws with a long arm action to his target. Offensively, Billy has a square set-up, he loads well, and he stands in well balanced. He has fast bat speed, he can hit to all fields, and he makes consistent contact. Billy can improve overall skills with work on the following.
