06/14/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Billy showed well as both a SS & RHP at the Omaha National World Series with Baseball Factory. Defensively, he made plays with ready/soft hands, good footwork and with good body control. His arm flows through with fluidity and he has carry to his target. Working to prefect his backhand mechanics and speeding up his feet will increase middle infield play. Offensively, he hit with activated hands and with good hip/hand coordination. He was direct with the barrel and got good extension through contact. His swing is smooth and easy and has a lot of projection especially as he stays short and compact to contact. On the mound, he threw three pitches from the high 3/4 arm slot. He topped out at 74 with his fastball and spun a CB at 62. He showed some feel for a CH, but needs to continue to work on his consistency with his release points for command. Overall - Billy is a great kid with a plus IQ and play ability.
