06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) BJ is a coachable C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. Behind the plate, BJ sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, creating good long hops to the 2B bag. He creates a good spine angle when blocking and keeps the ball in front of him. Moving to block sooner can help BJ improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and drives his lower half through well. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. BJ can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, BJ is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
