BJ is a coachable C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. Behind the plate, BJ sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, creating good long hops to the 2B bag. He creates a good spine angle when blocking and keeps the ball in front of him. Moving to block sooner can help BJ improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and drives his lower half through well. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. BJ can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, BJ is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

BJ is a strong C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. BJ has made great strides defensively, displaying active footwork and taking good angles when blocking. He sits in a low, athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws to 2B, lowering his pop time to 2.13 seconds. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes his stride on time. He takes a level swing with hits agains a strong front side, leading to solid contact. Overall, BJ is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

BJ is a strong and talented 2020 catching prospect. Behind the dish, BJ has a balanced primary and staggered secondary stance. He presents a low target and works behind the ball. He leads with his glove and controls balls in the dirt with his chest when blocking. He has clean exchange and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing to the bases. At the plate, BJ starts is a tall stance and keeps a quiet head. He has feel for the barrel, stays balanced through contact, and hits the ball to all fields. BJ will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
