04/07/2019 - College PREP - Germantown (Memphis), TN Blake is an athletic and talented 2021 Catching prospect. Behind the plate, Blake presents a low early target and works behind the ball. He leads with his glove to block and controls the ball with his chest. He had a clean exchange and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Blake starts in a tall and open stance. He has good bat speed, stays back on the ball, and consistently gets extended through contact. Blake will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

The Class Rating is not designed to express the scholarship potential of a player to a certain level or school, only the schools and coaches can determine that using the factors above along with their evaluation of the player.

The Class Rating is designed to help players identify the level(s) of college baseball at which they have potential to be recruited, and to help schools and coaches identify players that have potential to be recruits for them.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
