11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition at Pirate City Richmond improved his foot speed at the event as he ran his best 60 time to date. He will benefit by continuing to improve his foot quickness through a speed / agility program to aid in improving range in the MIF. Feet are active as he works to square balls up but needs to play through while presenting hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Blake shows a balanced setup with hand working through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact but needs to work on keeping hands inside the ball, increasing bat speed and barrel accuracy to continue to improve hitting / power grade. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
