04/13/2014 - College PREP - Grand Rapids, MI Blake is a junior RHP with an excellent pitchers frame - 6'5/190 lbs. On the hill, he throws three pitches from the high 3/4 arm slot. He tops out at 86 MPH with his fastball and spins a late breaking deuce from 71-73. His third pitch is his CH, which he throws consistently with sink. Mechanically, he has a simple/repeatable delivery with excellent arm action and arm speed. His build suggests added velo as he adds muscle and a throwing program. Overall - Blake has a lot of talent and has a chance to be a special hurler at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
