01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Blaze continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. At 1B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting / power potential is outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Blaze has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

09/28/2022 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2023) Blaze is a 2023 OF who showcased his skills at the Arizona Fall Classic. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.8 seconds. In the OF, he gets good reads on balls off the bat, with quick feet, and runs good routes to balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He gets rid of ball and makes accurate throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 82mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with high hand set. He gets on-plane early and is centered at contact. Rotates his lower half to contact point and has a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Made consistent contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph during BP. During the tournament, he had a single, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. With another year of growth and development, we foresee Blaze having opportunities to play at the next level.

07/27/2022 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Blaze showed well in his baseball abilities at the SOUTHWEST 17U TOURNAMENT. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has great knowledge of the game. He works hard on the field with a lot of energy.

06/23/2022 - BF Firecracker Classic WEST 18U Blaze is a 2023 OF prospect who showcased his skills during the Firecracker Classic Tournament. Ran his 60-yard dash in 7.0 seconds. In the OF, he starts in an athletic position and shows quick footwork as he works through the baseball. Takes good routes to balls as he fields from an athletic position and fields the ball out front with a quick exchange. Has good carry on his throws as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and arm velocity up to 81mph. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and open stance. He rotates his lower half to contact point, with a flat barrel path, and a smooth swing. Hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph during his round of BP. In limited action at the tournament due to an ankle injury, Blaze reached base multiple times and had a stolen base. Overall, Blaze is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

05/22/2022 - All-In Membership - Spokane, WA Blaze is an athletic OF/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the OF, Blaze shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is quick and he makes accurate throws to his target. At 1B, Blaze shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH shows an advanced approach through an open setup. He gets into his load well and generates fast bat speed through the zone, driving the ball from gap to gap with authority. Overall, Blaze is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/22/2021 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Blaze continues to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.38 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through, creating momentum to his target. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power (85 mph exit velocity) driving to all parts of the field. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

07/21/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 16U Blaze continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting abilities are outstanding through an open setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. At the event, he was 3 for 9 with a 2B. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with his body. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 68-69 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Blaze continues to shine on the diamond. He only showed on the mound at the event. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable, allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 68 mph. Fastball showed good arm side run. At the plate, he showed an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/23/2020 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Blaze continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays fluid / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with 4 BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Blaze continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 64 mph. Stock on the mound will increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and develops off speed pitches.

07/28/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Spokane, WA Blaze is an athletic OF/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Blaze shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He fields ground balls out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Blaze improve as an OF. At 1B, Blaze shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He fields in a square position and makes accurate, on-line throws to his target. Blaze can improve as a 1B by presenting his glove to the ball sooner. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, producing loud contact to all fields. Taking a shorter stride can help Blaze improve as a hitter. Overall, Blaze is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

10/16/2019 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Blaze continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. At 1B, he shows active footwork and presents his glove out front to field. Blaze can improve as a 1B by improving his footwork around the bag and increasing foot / quickness. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are loose and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he as 3 for 8. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Springfield, OR Blaze showed solid overall improvements offensively and defensively, and raised arm velocity to 66 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. At the plate, Blaze has a tall stance, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. He has good bat speed, a line drive approach, and he can hit to all fields. In the OF, Blaze has active feet, a presentable glove, and he gets good reads off the bat. He has athletic actions, fields squarely, and gains momentum when throwing toward his target. At 1st base, Blaze has good pre-pitch actions, a soft glove, and he shows good range with an accurate arm to his target. Blaze is a good athlete with a high ceiling.

12/27/2018 - 2018 Inaugural West Coast Winter Classic - La Verne, CA Blaze is a coachable 1B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the West Coast Winter Classic. In the field, Blaze makes the routine plays and fields with soft hands. He throws from a low 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Blaze improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets into a simple load on time and shows plus barrel control, spraying the ball to all fields. Blaze can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With four more years to develop, Blaze has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

10/07/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Spokane, WA Blaze is a young, 2-way player who plays OF and 1st base. In the OF, Blaze reads the ball off the bat well, he has a quick 1st step, and shows athletic actions. He has firm hands, a clean exchange, and throws with a loose arm with consistency to his target. At 1B, Blaze has active feet, he fields in a low position, and has a clean release with momentum toward his target. Offensively, Blaze has a tall set-up, he loads well, and stands in with good balance. He has fast bat speed, makes square/level contact, and uses some lower body. Blaze can improve already solid skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
