01/21/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Blazen is a tall, athletic, 2-way player who plays 1B and RHP. Defensively, Blazen presents his glove well, he fields in a square position, and his exchange is clean. He picks out the right hops, and throws with consistency from a short arm action. On the mound, Blazen has a quick arm action, he lands with proper length, and rotates fully to his target. At the plate, Blazen has a tall set-up, a short stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He has good balance, fast bat speed, and he makes consistent contact with some pop in his bat. Blazen can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
