09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Bobby is a tall RHP/OF who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. He showcased his two-way ability well in getting on base 5 times in his 7 plate appearances with 3 hits and 2 rbi. On the mound, he went 3 innings with 0 hits, 1 walk, and 6 strikeouts. Bobby gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Bobby operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 83mph with arm side run and sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 73-76mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Bobby is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this 2022 prospect.

09/25/2019 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Bobby continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. He did show in the OF for the first time at the event. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with zip to his target as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At the event he was 3 for 8 with an RBI and 3 stolen bases. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 79-83 mph with solid arm side run on a downhill plane. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Bobby is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way prospect. At the hot corner, Bobby is on time with his pre step, he presents a low/early glove, and works from the ground up. He has a clean exchange, good footwork on double plays, and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Bobby starts in a squared stance and has a simple load. He gets his front foot down on time, rotates his backside into the ball, and hits the ball to all fields. In game, Bobby has a middle approach and has several hard-hit balls. On the bump, Bobby has good presence and pounds the bottom part of the zone. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and stays directional toward the plate. He gets run on his fastball, shows a 10-4 break on his curveball, and has good feel for the changeup. Bobby was eager to learn and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/26/2018 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Bobby continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters, working ahead, and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. He attacks balls with his feet as he works around and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Once on base, he is aggressive and will take the extra base. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
