12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Bodhi continues to impress with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. Behind the dish, he sits low in a comfortable stance and presents a solid target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, deadening balls out front. Pop times showed in the 2.25 range with accuracy / carry on his throws. He has a feel for the game with plus instincts behind the plate. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 1 for 3 with a 2B, 2 BB, and HBP. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/30/2023 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Bodhi is a C/OF in the 2024 class. Behind the plate, his feet are in sync with his body and shows strong pocket feel. Arm plays at 88 velo and is loose with a high ¾ release. Registered a 2.15 pop and scouts feel he is a potential sub 2.0 player. Working to keep his eyes behind the baseball and a more relaxed wrist will quiet down his movements and maintain the strike zone. In the OF, he shows active feet and agile movements. Gains an athletic fielding position from positive route angles. Can close the gap more by eliminating drifting and work to get behind the baseball. Shows a plus arm and can prevent the free 90. At the plate, he has a quiet and balance swing. Mechanics are repeatable and his path is direct and on-plane. Demonstrates line drive production with a hard-hit contact rate of 83 exit velo. Overall, he is a a solid prospect in the 2024 class.

11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Bodhi is a C who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. At C, he has an easy sit and tracks ball to mitt. He replaces his feet as he gains ground to second base with good direction. Made on-line throws to second base, with an over the top release point, and arm velocity up to 78mph and a best pop time of 2.47 seconds. Showed good lateral range blocking and ability to cover the 5-hole. At the plate, he starts with an upright and square stance. Takes a short/square glide step, with a small hand load, and ability to stay in his legs throughout swing. He hits into a firm front side with a fast bat through the hitting zone. A direct barrel path enables him to hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Bodhi making huge strides on the baseball field.

03/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Bodhi is a 2024 C. Medium frame developing build with some strength present and ability to carry more muscle. Primary catcher sets up with in a conventional crouch. Clean transfer and accurate throws down to second base. Bodhi needs to incorporate a long toss and J-band program to improve arm strength. Centers ball and tries to create good blocking angles. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses an upright and closed stance. Quiet head/eyes allow him to track well. On plane swing who shows ability to spray ball to all fields. 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
