09/27/2023 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2024) Boston continues to show as a top prospect with his baseball abilities and did so at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. Behind the plate, feet are aggressive and active as he works in line to his target, through a clean transfer/exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.00 range with accuracy/carry on his throws. He presents a soft mitt and sticks balls well in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving/blocking skills show as excellent tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick with bat speed through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a great leader behind the dish.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Seattle, WA Boston is a 2024 RHH C/OF prospect with an athletic frame at 6'1" 205 pounds. Behind the plate, he starts in a great setup and shows off active, quick feet and agile range. He is a good receiver and has excellent pocket awareness. His arm is impressive with a raw velo of 83 MPH and he makes consistently accurate throws to his targets. He does a really nice job of keeping his glove down while blocking and getting his chest in a good down angle. In the OF, he does a great job pre-pitch of getting in a ready position. He shows off good range to all angles and really attacks the ball. He is an athletic fielder and he does well to get behind the baseball to make plays. He makes accurate throws with carry through his targets. At the plate, he starts with an open stance and gets a good load with a short stride to the pitcher. He showed off some explosive bat speed with an active lower half. He makes consistently hard contact with some pop to the pull side. He does a great job of throwing his knob to the catcher. Overall, a very impressive prospect and one that projects to play at the next level!

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Boston is a 2024 grad out of Long Beach, WA who continues to show as a prospect and did so at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.20 range. At the plate, he displays excellent hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Boston has a high skill-set and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Boston is a 2024 Catching prospect out of the state of Washington who brings physicality, receiving, arm strength and an advanced offensive toolset as a college recruit. Behind the plate he has the strength, physicality and receiving skills to stick as a catcher, with the arm strength to make his throw tool a weapon against running games does need to clean up footwork to truly tap into throw potential. He has football background with more than enough toughness to be a full-time college catcher. Where Boston stands out is in the batters box. With a swing reminiscent of J.D. Martinez he has the bat speed, bat path and approach to be a very high level hitter at the college level. His strength generates exit velocities in the upper 90 MPH range consistently with more to come. He shows feel for the barrel and can cover all parts of the plate with adjustability to hit spin. He runs well for his size 7.0 in the 60 and a 1.6 range in the 10 yard burst which would allow him to profile on an OF corner where his bat can thrive. Whether behind the plate or on an OF corner Caron will be a strong college prospect.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Boston is a coachable C prospect out of Long Beach, WA who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. Behind the dish, Boston receives with soft hands and has a clean exchange. He throws from a 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. He is efficient moving to block and keeps dirt balls in front of him. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed and sprays loud line drives to all fields. Overall, Boston is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

06/26/2022 - All-In Membership - Tacoma, WA Boston is an athletic C prospect who will graduate in 2024. Behind the dish, Boston shows quick footwork and is agile moving to block. He presents a good target to the pitcher and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and works to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and hits against a strong front side. He generates fast bat speed through the zone and drives the ball to his pull side with authority. Overall, Boston is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
