01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Bradden is a very talented 2-way player who shined during his time in Arizona. This skilled/versatile athlete can make things happen in many aspects of the game. At SS, he has active prep moving lightly on the balls of his feet. He moves fluidly from right to left through the GB picking the ball with soft/sure hands. He make the plays to his right and left look easy. Transfer is quick with a cannon of an arm (93 mph) zipping the ball on a line across the diamond. Offensively, he has a balanced/athletic setup with strong separation. He whips the barrel through the zone with authority and squares it up with power. Pitcher's had a difficult time throwing to him. He went an impressive 5 for 10 with 3 singles, a double, and a HR. He will fit nicely in a clean-up type role in the batting order where he'll be a run producer. On the mound, Kennard shows a solid mound presence. He drives downhill off of the rubber and repeats his delivery well. FB has good run, topping out at 80 mph. Curveball shows 10/4 shape with late break - proving to be a solid out pitch. Kennard is fun to watch and has a very high ceiling. His tools will translate well into the next level of play.

11/01/2015 - College PREP - Midland, TX Bradden is a solid R/R 2-way player (RHP/SS) who has a tall/athletic build. On the mound, this righty toes the rubber with an effective 3-pitch arsenal. Arm works loose & free coming from a high 3/4 slot. He maintains fluid tempo, works to a tall balance point and has smooth separation. FB shows tail & sink ranging from 78-81 mph. He commands the zone and can hit his spots well. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with tight spin. Changeup shows slight sink with deception as he throws it with FB arm speed. At SS, Kennard has quick/active footwork moving fluidly around the GB from right to left. Hands are soft/sure as he gathers well with a smooth transfer/exchange to throw. He has plus lateral movement and can get to almost everything hit on the left side of the diamond. Offensively, this righty shows an athletic/balanced setup with rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is quick as he squares the ball up and drives it with pop to all parts of the field. Bradden is a talented prospect who should get some looks to play at the next level. He is one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
