07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Braden is a 2026 C/1B who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series. Behind the plate, Braden starts in a relaxed position and tracks pitches well. Works with good direction towards second base as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Made throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 65mph and a best pop time of 2.76 seconds. He creates good blocking angles and works to keep balls in front of him. At the plate, he has natural strength in swing and has late bat whip. He was able to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph. During the event, he reached base 6 times with 2 doubles, 2 singles, a hit by pitch, and reached on an error. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Braden making huge strides on the baseball field.

03/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Braden is a C/1B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. Behind the dish, he works to center the baseball and presents a low target with some pocket awareness. Tries to work around the baseball and gains ground towards second base with good direction. Throws from a 3/4 release point, with a long arm stroke in back, and has an arm velocity up to 66mph and a best pop time of 2.64 seconds. At 1B, he works to center the baseball and keep ball in front of him. Tries to field out front with a low funnel and keeps his eyes behind glove. Made accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot to second base. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 69mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Braden having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
