01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Braden is an athletic and lanky 2020 SS prospect. At SS, Braden is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and he has a quick first step to the ball. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Braden starts in a crouched stance, he has a simple load, and a quiet head. He hunts the fastball early and looks to makes hard contact to all fields. Braden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/05/2018 - College PREP - Lodi (Sacramento), CA Braden is a lean built shortstop prospect who has a talented skill set. In the field, Braden plays with active footwork and agile actions showing good range. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low position. Braden has a quick, clean exchange leading into a loose arm action. He plays with momentum through the baseball showing consistently online throws across the diamond. Braden has the ability to adjust his arm slot depending on the play. He also shows a smooth backhand when needed. Offensively, Braden has an athletic setup with a firm front side and centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and short stride. Braden shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball. Braden has the ability to use the whole field and drive the ball to each gap withe power. Overall, Braden has an above average skill set on both sides of the ball giving him a bright future on the diamond.

09/06/2015 - Interactive Video Program - San Francisco, CA Braden is a R/R 2-way player as a 2B/OF. At 2B, he shows quick/active footwork moving lightly on the ball of his feet. He works fluidly around the GB right to left and funnels smoothly. He has good range and can make the tough plays to his right and left. In the OF, Braden takes solid routes/angles and tracks down fly-balls in the gaps. He secures the ball and gains ground playing through it well with and aggressive crow-hop. Throws are strong & accurate into his target's chest. With the bat, this righty shows a square setup with good balance. He gets hand separation in his load, swings on a level path and connects with pop to his pull-side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
