12/27/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Braden is a SS who will graduate in 2027. Starts with a good prep step and has efficient footwork. He works to close distance on batted balls and fields from a square fielding position. Shows a low funnel with good glove actions. Creates momentum to his target with accurate throws to first base and an arm velocity up to 74mph. At the plate he hits from a tall and open stance. Shows good balance in the batter's box with a middle of the field approach. During his round of BP, he sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 63mph. Should continue his upward trajectory with continued growth and development.

06/23/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Braden is a 2027 SS who showcased his skills during the BF Select Training at The College World Series. At SS he shows athletic actions and plays the game with good energy. Shows ability to close distance on batted balls as he fields from an athletic/low fielding position with soft hands out front. Made accurate throws to first base from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 71mph. At the plate he hits from an athletic and open stance with comfortable hands. He shows good plate discipline with ability to recognize pitches early. He hits into a firm front side, with a good lower half turn, and hits the ball out front. During live game action he reached base 2 times with a double and a single with an RBI. Braden is versatile player who can play multiple positions. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

01/29/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Braden is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength present. At SS, he works to center the baseball and plays with good effort/energy. Works into a square fielding position with good glove actions and hands out front. Made on-line throws consistently from a high 3/4 arm slot, with momentum towards his target, and an arm velocity up to 71mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds and pivots. At the plate, he hits from a tall and square stance. A simple setup to start and takes an aggressive swing. Keeps bat flat in the zone for a long time and made consistent contact. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 54mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Braden making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
