Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • LHP/1BPosition Projection

01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Braden is a strong 5ft 9/175 LHP/1B in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his two-way actions at the BF Preseason All American event. In the field, he has active feet and shows bag awareness. He gains ground and obtains an athletic and squared fielding position. He redirects with quickness and displays a short high 3 qtr slot on his throws. Arm is accurate and provides carry. Working to sink his hips and play low to the ground will provide more glove freedom and hop adjustments. On the mound, scouts feel he will pitch at the next level. He works with great tempo and is a plus defender. He operates with a 3-pitch mix from a high 3 qtr. slot. His FB cuts at 83 and working on a consistent release point will make it very effective. His CB has excellent movement ay 1-7 shape and was in the zone. His CH should be used more to compliment his FB. It provides a natural stroke and great sink. At the plate, he flashed line drive power and showed well in game action with 2 hits and 2 BB’s. Proves to use the whole field and with more work on timing, he can stay balanced and drive the baseball. Overall, Braden’s future maybe on the mound, but scouts think he is a solid two-way player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
