02/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Braden is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF, showed athletic actions, with active/efficient feet, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Good 1st step reads and aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles. Fields from an athletic fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and keeps his feet moving throughout fielding process. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a quick arm stroke, and an arm velocity into the infield up to 83mph. Made on-line throws consistently with good momentum towards target. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher keeps his eyes level and on the target. He works with good direction down the mound and rotates to target. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 75-78mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and a changeup with movement in the strike zone that he throws with FB arm speed. A right-handed hitter, starts with an athletic and even stance. He gets his hands separated as he hits into a firm front side. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
