09/09/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Knoxville, TN Bradley continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as well as shows smooth / clean actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls through a low approach. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.56 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Glove action is clean with setup improving as he improves his softens hands. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner.

05/28/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Bradley showed at 1B and as a catcher for the first time at the event. He continues to show progress in his game and has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, feet are active as he works to square balls up and moves well laterally to his glove side. Glove action is clean / firm but needs to present more out front. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.66 range. Times will continue drop as he works to get rid of the baseball quicker and builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He tracks balls and sticks balls well in the zone with blocking skills improving as he develops better flexibility. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a short swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time.

05/22/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Bradley continues to work hard and make great strides in his game. Offensively, he shows a balanced setup with patience, waiting for a pitch he likes. He takes a hack, squaring the ball up and creating pop off of the barrel when centered. Even more power potential is there as he works to engage his lower 1/2 more. At 1B, Bradley is aggressive and comes to get the GB. He squares up and tracks the ball into his mitt. At 3B, he gathers well, has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to 1B. Continuing to develop his foot speed and arm strength will only improve his defensive skill-set. Edwards is a hard worker who still has a ton of time to develop.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Tiger Town Bradley is a solid corner INF who worked hard on his game during his time at Tiger Town. He is a coachable player who has fun playing the game. Defensively, he hustles into a square fielding position behind the GB and tracks the ball into his mitt. He gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. He made several nice plays, gloving the ball and squaring up toward his target. Working to present his glove (fielding the ball more out in front) along with playing through the ball more will aid in his defensive development. As a hitter - this righty shows a balanced setup with simple/quiet actions. He squares the ball up consistently, swinging on a level path and drives the ball back up the middle of the field. Added power will come as he works to utilize more of his lower 1/2 throughout the swing. Edwards has upside with still a ton of time to progress and physically mature.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
