Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/SSPosition Projection

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Bradley is an athletic and talented 2-way prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments throughout the week. At SS, Bradley is on time with his prep step, presents a low/early glove, and has good footwork on double plays. At the plate, Bradley starts in an athletic stance, keeps his head down on the ball, and he has good pitch recognition. He needs to continue to load the hands back into the drive position, get his front foot down on time, and create backside rotation. On the bump, Bradley gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He keeps his eyes on his target and has good tempo. His curveball sits from 53-56 mph, and his curveball and 11-5 spin. Bradley will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/16/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Bradley is a lean RHP/SS who will graduate in 2023. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 52-53 mph with slight tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 6 years to further develop, Bradley has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
