Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHPPosition Projection

07/12/2009 - Team One South 2009 Bradley continues to show steady improvement still showing as a two-way player on the mound and at SS. Currently, he projects best on the mound where he shows his most improvement. Fastball shows run on a downhill plane creating tough angles on hitters. He sit at 85-87 mph. Off speed pitches have improved showing well above average. Breaking ball displays downward tilt with sharp break. Changeup shows a plus feel for with sink and fading action. He attacks hitters with all his pitches throwing strikes and changing speeds well. He had 4 Ks in 2 innings of work without giving up a hit.

01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Bradley is a tall thin player who, as he fills out and strengthens, will only get better. On the mound, Bradley already has velocities in the lower 90's. He has an above average CB to compliment his FB and he can locate it as well. He works quickly and will not hesitate to throw inside. Bradley is not scared of any hitter. Although Bradley can also play in the infield with soft hands and he hits with some pull side power, he is more suited for the mound. As he gets stronger and becomes more balanced, he should impress a lot of coaches, both college and professional.

11/16/2008 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Bradley is a young RHP with a tall, thin frame that does show future projection as it continues to physically mature. He has improved a lot since the last time that we saw him and now has the makings to be a top notch arm and possible draft pick by his senior year. Arm strength has improved now showing superior as indicated by his top velocity of 89 mph with a comfort zone of 87 mph. Fastball is flat but has life. Off speed pitches also have improved with his breaking ball showing best. Breaking ball displays a 10/5 shape, tight spin with late breaking action. It is a quality pitch and will be effective at the next level. Changeup is solid average showing a feel for with late run. Delivery is solid showing on time separation and direction to the plate. He utilizes his lower half well. Bradley has a huge upside on the mound and it will be fun to watch him further develop over the next 2 years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
