08/04/2019 - National Tryout - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Brady is an athletic OF/1B prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the OF, Brady shows quick footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Beating fly balls to their spot can help Brady improve as an OF. At 1B, Brady shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Brady can improve as a 1B by getting rid of his throws quicker. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and drives the ball to his pull side. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Brady improve as a hitter. Overall, Brady is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
