01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Brady is a hardworking player who is very coachable and has a great attitude. At SS, he continues to shine, displaying well above average defensive abilities as he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean but he will benefit by presenting more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup and an aggressive approach. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/20/2017 - College PREP - Dickinson, ND Brady is a talented shortstop prospect who has a lean build and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Brady has a square setup with his weight on his toes. He takes a short stride and gets good hip rotation. Brady has a short swing path and is developing bat speed. He has a line drive approach and the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. In the field, Brady plays with quick footwork showing good range in each direction laterally. He fields the ball in a low position and shows a smooth backhand. Brady has a clean exchange leading into a restricted arm action throwing from a low 3/4 arm slot. He gives an effective doubleplay feed and is building arm strength. Overall, Brady plays the game hard with an effective approach giving him upside to take his game to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
