08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Brady improved radar velocity on the mound and defense in the OF during Pirate City. On the hill, Brady works in good tempo, he keeps his eyes on target, and his arm is loose and quick. His CB shows well, he competes in the zone, and lands with good direction toward his target. In the OF, Brady has active feet, a quick 1st step, and he takes good angles to the ball. He attacks aggressively, gains momentum, and throws with accuracy to his target. At the plate, Brady has a balanced set-up, a still head, and flashes some bat speed. He gets good hip rotation through the ball and hits hard to the pull side. Brady is coachable, a team player, and plays the game the right way.

02/19/2017 - College PREP - Tyler, TX Brady is a talented LHP/OF prospect who has good upside and graduates in 2019. On the mound, Brady has mound presence with a balanced, on-time delivery throwing with high effort from a 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job engaging his core and rotating towards his target. Brady's fastball has good life and he throws an above average curveball. He is developing feel for his changeup. In the field, Brady plays with a quick first step and takes effective angles to cover good ground. He fields the ball athletically with soft hands and has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action. Brady plays with momentum through the baseball producing consistently strong throws. Offensively, Brady has a square, athletic setup with centered balance. He has smooth rhythm and takes a short, square stride as his lower half leads his swing. Brady lets the ball travel and has an on-plane swing path doing a nice job keeping his hands inside the baseball. He has a line drive approach and can drive the ball to the opposite field. Overall, Brady has good potential and the ability to impact the game from both sides of the ball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
