Official Scouting Report

10/03/2021 - All-In Membership - Louisville, KY Brady continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.16 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved, now displaying solid hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

04/14/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Louisville, KY Brady is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the OF, Brady shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball with soft hands. He throws from over top and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Brady improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He takes a level swing and produces solid line drives. Brady can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Brady gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph. Cutter sits from 58-59mph with 11-5 movement. Changeup sits from 61-63mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Loosening his arm action can help Brady improve as a pitcher. With three more years to develop, Brady has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
