03/04/2018 - College PREP - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Brady continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has solid upside on the mound. On the bump, delivery is sound/repeatable allowing his loose, quick arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength is above average as indicated by his top velocity of 83 mph. Fastball showed range of 80-83 mph with arm side run/sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with sinking action. Control is solid as he locates to both sides of the plate. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Brady.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
