07/21/2019 - College PREP - Fort Wayne, IN Brady is a 2B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Brady shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. Brady can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this switch hitter shows a solid swing from both sides. He sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact. Continuing to add strength can help Brady improve as a hitter. Overall, Brady is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

04/22/2018 - College PREP - Grand Rapids, MI Brady is an athletic and talented 2021 utility player. In the OF, Brady has an active prep step and works behind the ball. He gets good reads off the bat and follows through on his throws to the bases. At 2B, Brady has pre-pitch rhythm and presents a low/early glove. He works from the ground up and has a clean exchange when throwing the ball. From the left side of the plate, Brady starts in a crouched position and stays balanced through contact. From the right side, Brady keeps a quiet head, has a direct path to the ball, and stays balanced through contact. Brady will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
