Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Brady is a 2027 RHP/2B prospect who worked hard to improve his ability at the National World Series. At 2B, he showed athletic actions with ability to cover ground in all directions. Arm fits position as he made accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 77mph. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance. Tracks pitches well and only offered at strikes. He hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 66mph during BP. At the event, he reached base 4 times with 2 singles, and 2 base on balls. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber, with a relaxed knee lift, and works with good direction to his target. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 68mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we see Brady having a bright future on the baseball field.

03/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Brady is a RHP/2B prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 2B, he works to center the baseball, with active footwork, and showed ability to make routine plays. He closes distance on baseball and has good glove actions. Has a short arm stroke in back as he throws from a 3/4 arm slot coming forward with an arm velocity up to 67mph. He fields from square fielding position and made accurate throws to first base. On the mound, he separates his hands on-time, with a clean arm stroke, and gets a good glove tuck as he keeps his frontside closed. He works with good tempo and separates his hands on-time. He throws a FB that sits 61-66mph, a sinker that flashes downward action, and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and square stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He keeps his weight between his knees and showed ability to deliver the barrel. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 70mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development until he graduates, we foresee this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
