01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Braedon ventured from the cold Michigan winter to baseball friendly weather in Arizona and he looked to be in mid-season form. Strong and athletic, he's quick twitch as evidenced by his blazing 6.45 in the 60. Braedon was on base in 4 of his 6 plate appearances and he swiped three bags. He showed the ability to use the whole field both in BP and in the games, making some hard contact (92 mph exit velocity). This OF prospect has the kind of useable, game-changing speed that is always in demand.

10/10/2018 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Braedon continues to show tremendous tools across the board and he will make an immediate impact at the next level. In the OF, defensive abilities are at a pro level as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (91 mph velocity) on his throws. Range is outstanding as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying tremendous power through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a short / direct swing path as he stays inside the ball utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. He gets out of the box well and puts a lot of pressure on the defense with his foot speed. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 83-85 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break and shows as an outstanding pitch that will get outs. Control is excellent as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working to get ahead of hitters. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can be. He is a gamer on the diamond with the makings of a solid draft type guy in 2019.

09/23/2018 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Braedon continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he is a tremendous defender. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and aggressive as he attacks balls in the zone. He has strength in his swing and utilizes his all fields as he stays inside the ball well. The baseball explodes off his bat when centered. On the mound, fastball showed in the mid 80 range with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with sharp break and late depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight tailing action. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality pitches. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches.

07/25/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Braedon showed very well in the OF and on the mound during the UA Southwest. He was timed at his fastest 60 to date at 6.27 seconds! In the OF, Braedon is quick to the ball, he takes good angles, and he fields cleanly. He gets good jumps, fields smoothly, and has a strong/loose arm with carry to his target. On the mound, Braedon has good athleticism, he attacks hitters, and competes in the zone. He spots his FB well, his CB shows nice tilt, and he fields his position well. Offensively, Braedon has an athletic stance, quick hands, and he works the ball gap to gap. He has a short/fast barrel and uses his lower body. Braedon's mental makeup is also a plus, showing a tremendous baseball IQ.

06/15/2018 - USA Baseball 17U Championships Braedon brings his high-level tools and athleticism to the field every day. He is natural and quick-twitch in all that he does on the field. He has rhythm in his right-handed swing and he generates serious bat speed with very little effort. The ball comes off the bat hard and he has advanced eye/hand coordination that allows him to square up balls with regularity. At the event, he was 7 for 10 with a 2B, 3B, and HR. Versatile enough to play nearly anywhere on the field, Braedon fits best in center where his combination of speed (6.31 60 time) and instincts give him excellent range, and his strong arm adds to his defensive profile. He ran down all fly balls hit his way at the event and shows big play potential. He received a USA invite to their showcase due to his athletic tools and abilities on the field. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 82-87 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with late/sharp break. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches and attacks hitters. Mental makeup is outstanding as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. He has a ton of upside and possesses the skill-set that will play at a very high level, possibly a 2019 draft guy.

02/19/2018 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Braedon is an athletic built OF/RHP prospect who has a talented skill set. Offensively, Braedon has a tall, open stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Braedon shows fast bat speed with an on-plane swing path. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball producing hard contact. He has the ability to drive the ball to each gap with power. In the outfield, Braedon plays with fluid footwork and effective angles covering good ground with his 6.56 second 60 yard dash time. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. Braedon has a quick, clean exchange leading into a short, loose arm action. He plays with good momentum through the ball showing consistently strong, online throws. On the mound, Braedon has a balanced delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm action. He extends through his release and has a controlled landing. Braedon finishes nicely with his chest over his front knee. His fastball has run movement at 84-87 MPH. His curveball has tight spin and his changeup is deceptive. Overall, Braedon has skill in all phases of the game and potential to be an impact player at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
