06/16/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Tacoma, WA Braiden showed solid skills at SS and in the OF during his last workout in Tacoma. In the INF, Braiden has aggressive actions, active feet, and he fields in a square position. He has firm hands, good glove reactions, and he throws with momentum and accuracy across the diamond. In the OF, Braiden covers ground well and reads the ball off the bat. He makes plays, fields squarely, and throws with accuracy after a solid crow hop. At the plate, Braiden has a square set-up, he loads well, and flashes explosive bat speed. He makes hard/level contact and can spray the ball to all fields. Solid overall skills can get even better with work on the following.

Infield
1. Play more through
2. Soften glove
Outfield
1. Field out front
2. Avoid drifting
Offense
1. Timing
2. Stride

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Braiden is a talented 2B prospect who is a switch-hitter. In the field, Braiden moves well laterally always keeping his eye on the ball. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low position. He shows a smooth backhand when needed. Braiden has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate across the diamond. Offensively, Braiden has similar abilities on each side of the plate, showing slightly better from the right-side. He has an open setup with his weight in the back of his stance. Braiden has a load with a square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. He tracks the ball well and has an aggressive approach. He repeats his swing and produces hard contact. Braiden shows solid power with the ability to drive the ball to each gap. Overall, Braiden is a well-rounded prospect who can take his game to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
