06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Braiden is a solid SS in the 2023 class. Scouts raved about his athletic ability, his engagement and ability to be a team player. Aside from the intangibles, there is are more reasons to like Braiden’s game. He ran a 6.96 60 (best personal time), increased his velo by 10 mph (86) and reached base 5 out of 8 at bats on the week. In the field, he stays on the ball of his feet and has smooth footwork. He has a quick 1st step and works from the ground up. His exchanges are clean and uses loose arm action on his accurate feeds. Working on pocket feel on his backhands and working through the ball more will help him play faster and attack the green runners on the path. At the plate, he uses the whole field with a simple and repeatable load. Has explosive bat speed and can turn around the FB. Provides sneaky juice (HR to pull side in game action and a disciplined approach 3 BB’s. Keeping his eyes on the barrel will help make adjustments as he moves up and pitches have more depth. Overall, there is a lot to like about his game and he will make a great addition to a college program very soon.
