01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Braiden continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate carry across the diamond. At the plate, he shows as switch hitter but projects best as a RHH. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

09/11/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Braiden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he once again ran a sub 7 second 60 yard dash. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he works to square up his body to ground balls and plays through the ball. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. In the OF, defensive abilities are now solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best as a RHH where he now displays outstanding hitting abilities. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Braiden is a solid SS in the 2023 class. Scouts raved about his athletic ability, his engagement and ability to be a team player. Aside from the intangibles, there is are more reasons to like Braiden’s game. He ran a 6.96 60 (best personal time), increased his velo by 10 mph (86) and reached base 5 out of 8 at bats on the week. In the field, he stays on the ball of his feet and has smooth footwork. He has a quick 1st step and works from the ground up. His exchanges are clean and uses loose arm action on his accurate feeds. Working on pocket feel on his backhands and working through the ball more will help him play faster and attack the green runners on the path. At the plate, he uses the whole field with a simple and repeatable load. Has explosive bat speed and can turn around the FB. Provides sneaky juice (HR to pull side in game action and a disciplined approach 3 BB’s. Keeping his eyes on the barrel will help make adjustments as he moves up and pitches have more depth. Overall, there is a lot to like about his game and he will make a great addition to a college program very soon.

07/26/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Aberdeen (Seattle), WA Braiden is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Braiden shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Braiden improve defensively. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Braiden can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through the ball. Overall, Braiden is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

06/16/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Tacoma, WA Braiden showed solid skills at SS and in the OF during his last workout in Tacoma. In the INF, Braiden has aggressive actions, active feet, and he fields in a square position. He has firm hands, good glove reactions, and he throws with momentum and accuracy across the diamond. In the OF, Braiden covers ground well and reads the ball off the bat. He makes plays, fields squarely, and throws with accuracy after a solid crow hop. At the plate, Braiden has a square set-up, he loads well, and flashes explosive bat speed. He makes hard/level contact and can spray the ball to all fields. Solid overall skills can get even better with work on the following.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Braiden is a talented 2B prospect who is a switch-hitter. In the field, Braiden moves well laterally always keeping his eye on the ball. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low position. He shows a smooth backhand when needed. Braiden has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate across the diamond. Offensively, Braiden has similar abilities on each side of the plate, showing slightly better from the right-side. He has an open setup with his weight in the back of his stance. Braiden has a load with a square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. He tracks the ball well and has an aggressive approach. He repeats his swing and produces hard contact. Braiden shows solid power with the ability to drive the ball to each gap. Overall, Braiden is a well-rounded prospect who can take his game to the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
