01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Brandon continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he show an open setup. Hands are loose and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 63-69 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with loose spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/01/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Brandon is a LHP/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Brandon shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 66mph. Slider sits from 62-63mph with 3-9 break. Curveball sits from 56-58mph. Loosening his arm action can help Brandon improve his pitch command and velocity. In the field, Brandon shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He fields in a square position and works to make accurate throws to his target. Brandon can field ground balls more efficiently by presenting his glove down to the ball sooner. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and stays inside the ball well, spraying to all fields. Working through a shorter swing path can help Brandon barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Brandon is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
