11/16/2014 - College PREP - Davie, FL
Boyle continues to show well on the bump. His fastball topped out at 84 MPH, he spun a 12/6 CB from 69-71, and he showed feel for a CH that has late run and sink. He is sound mechanically, keeps his eyes on the target and finishes chest over knee. He gets good extension over his front side and repeats. Added arm strength and more consistency in his release point with his CB are two areas that will improve feel. All in all - Boyle remains as a promising prospect that will compete.
09/19/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Fall Classic Upperclass Participant
FB: 82-84mph, good movement, very deceptive, excellent over hand curveball, CB: 74mph, solid strike thrower, uses changeup effectively with sink
06/14/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1
Brandon is a RHP that showed good ability and a competitive edge at the Omaha National World Series. He had a good tempo, fluid actions, and repeatability. He made in-game adjustments, and did the little things right. His control was consistent, as he threw to the zone, but needs to continue to work his feel for command on either side of the plate. He threw three pitches from over-the-top slot, mixing in the high 3/4 slot on some pitches. His CB has good shape and should continue to develop into a plus pitch as he becomes more consistent with his release point. Overall - Brandon is a promising hurler that should focus on adding arm strength and release point feel over the year for next level play.
01/26/2014 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL
Brandon is a RHP who has a pitcher's frame (6'3"/200lbs). He can fill up the zone and throws strikes. He works to get to a tall balance point, drive off the rubber and work downhill/in-line toward the dish. FB cracks the mitt at 81 mph as he works it to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball shows to be best off-speed as it has 12/6 shape and is thrown with FB arm speed. He has a repeatable delivery and works through smooth tempo. A big righty - Brandon should find success as he throws strikes and will get out.
