08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Brandon showed as a SS/OF at the event. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.0 60 time. Feet are active as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. He needs to play through balls more and present hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade at SS. In the OF, he reads balls well off the bat and takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength / carry through a long toss program. At the plate, he is a switch hitter that shows slightly better from the right side. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and he shows a solid feel for the barrel with the ball jumping off his bat when centered. From the left side, swing path gets long as he needs to work to keep hands more inside the ball. At the event, he was 3 for 8. Once on the bases, he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in putting pressure on the defense.
