12/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Thousand Oaks, CA Brandon is a C/2B prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build, with thick lower half, and strength present. At C, he works around the baseball as he gains ground to second base with quick feet. Tries to work thumb under baseball while keeping balls in the strike zone. Athletic secondary stance with good base and loud mitt. Throws from a high 3/4 release point with an arm velocity up to 88mph and a best pop time of 2.13 seconds. Creates good blocking angles and uses his chest to deaden ball and keep it in front of him. In the infield, he is light on his feet and has smooth actions. He works to center the baseball and closes the distance on batted balls. He fields from an athletic fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and fields out front with soft hands. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base with a quick release. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Has quick hands, with fluid timing, and keeps his hands inside the baseball. A short/direct swing with an explosive barrel through the hitting zone. He hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. With another year of growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
